Indian Classical Music is a tradition also known as Hindusthani or Hindustani Classical Music or North Indian Style of Indian Music which has its roots in the Vedic Indian Culure which further got evelved with mixture of various Traditions. Later during the Muslim rules the Irani Music or Persian Music also influenced the Indian Classical Music Traditions and Khayal Gayaki came in to existance particularly in the North India. The South India preserved and enriched the Carnatic Style of Singing.
The Classical Music in recent Era was nourished under the Guru Parampara or Gharanas where Eminent Musicians of India established their own schools of Music and young students and followers of the Guru learned the intricacy of Music as residents until they were able to perform Music independently. The Indian Classical Music as of now is shared through the Educational System of the Country as well, granting Undergraduate and Masters Degree in Music and also allowing Research and Fellowship while the tradition of professional training under the Guidance of Music Guru’s of Great Repute still continues ..
