  • SnipIT is a browser add-on for Internet Explorer that enables you to email a snippet of selected text from any web page. Simply select the text and right-click to create a new email message that includes a subject (extracted from the page title) and a link to the full article. The program supports any default email client as well as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo webmail accounts. SnipIT can be used to e-mail the selected text in Internet Explorer using the user’s e-mail client of choice. The add-on currently supports Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Gmail and default installed MailTo client in Internet Explorer as e-mail client options. Yahoo Mail Beta is not currently supported.

The sites can be saved locally as a fully-browsable website which can be viewed with any browser (such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, etc), or they can be saved into the Internet Explorer cache and viewed using IE’s offline mode as if the you’d surfed the sites ‘by hand’. The locally saved files will have their HTML links adjusted so that they can be browsed as if they were being read directly from the internet.
